Celebrity Spotlight

Imagine working years toward your dream and finally reaching that first milestone of success. The moment you have been waiting for has finally arrived. It’s the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and Taylor Swift is speechless as her name was called for Best Female Video. Going up against Beyonce Knowles, P!NK, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Kelly Clarkson, Taylor had quite a competition. It was her first chance to give a thank you speech so we all can imagine how nervous she must have been. Out of nowhere, Kanye West appears on stage proclaiming Beyonce Knowles as having “one of the best videos of all time.” Many outrageous comments have been made on this moment in Award Show History. Apologies have been made and accepted but what comes to your mind when u hear the name Kanye West?? Impressions last FOREVER!!!

Glamorously Achieving Events

Poets Corner

We
Staring at your silhouette
through the veil
I love you with all my heart
desire you
beyond reason
when your stormy soul lifts
you'll find me
True
silent
In living waters
We

Holy
A high frequency of peculiar pitch
We've tried with sonar but the waves don't mix
A beautiful harmony
passionate and sweet
Another kind of sugar that won't rot your teeth
I'm not sure how the song goes
And so to God I pray
to help me play the notes right
while I practice everyday
Testify
I was dying and I knew it
I tried to fight it but I couldn't win
Then God whispered the cure to my heart
It's amazing to know that something as delicate and beautiful as faith
can cure something as ugly and chronic as sin
I am a survivor
